I'm so, so sorry for your loss, Mackenzie. Those words will never be enough to make an impact... but I know this is an unimaginable loss and I am truly sorry you are in this place. One that will change you in many ways, now and forever. I hope you're taking good care of yourself. Years ago, during a hard time, a friend said "your only job is to eat one healthy meal a day and drink water." I've held onto that advice, and will pass it along forever.
I'm sorry. Losing a parent is one of the harder griefs we suffer. No matter how old we are at the time, suddenly we are orphans, cast upon a world without that anchor.
That's how I felt at 26 when my mother died. My friend said I was an orphan, and that hit me as strange, but then I realized it was true, even though I'd been living on my own for a few years.

“suddenly we are orphans, cast upon a world without that anchor”. So true. I love how you articulated this Sue, thank you 🙏🏼

Oh, I’m so sorry that that happened so young for you! Yes, there is that feeling of being unmoored, right? Thank you for sharing, Sue ✨
