What a beautiful read. Like you, I haven't always loved summer. It is absolutely brutal here in Australia and I am also a fellow migraine sufferer, which makes it tough. But as I get older I can also see the beauty in it... I do love evening swims and ripe homegrown tomatoes!

I love how evocative this is Mackenzie, I can almost smell the suntan lotion. I've eaten a lot of pineapple and coconut lollies this summer and they absolutey transport me to a tropical place! That picture, just too cute.

Mackenzie I truly adored reading your version of what summer means to you. I love how we almost have opposite experiences of the summer, but how they intertwine all the same. Whilst I’ve grown deeply fond of autumn over the years, you have with summer 🤍 Thank you for the idea of writing these pieces together, it was a joy!

Thanks so much Jenna! I too, love that we can have different experiences with the seasons but still convey the beauty that is within them 🧡

Ah this was beautiful and so evocative of summer. I related to so much and also have had a complicated relationship with summer, from literally living for it, to feeling it was too intense, to now finding myself softening into it. Thank you for sharing your ode to summer! xx
