I love to see more people entering 2024 slowly and mindfully. There is this pressure and rush to figure out everything Jan 1. I am not one of those people. For the last couple of years, I have waited. I am resting and easing into 2024. That way I will be stronger and more prepared.

Yes, there is so much pressure isn’t there? As if everything needs to be sorted immediately as the calendar turns. I love that you are easing into the new year 💛

I'm the same, there's a lot to be said for a slow, more reflective approach to the new year

I am so sorry to hear about your sickness chain situation, and we were also on the same wagon, one after another... Plus, me ending up with the worst to recover. Take care of yourself :)

Your article is a great reminder that it is very ok to slow start the year (yes, I feel like I had a bit of panic being sick on the first half of Jan) and we are all allowed to say "I'm not ready for it yet!".

It seems so many of us were sick over the holidays. Hope you are feeling better!

Yes, we are allowed to say we aren’t quite ready to dive right in to the new year and what it all means. Taking it slow is absolutely okay 🙂

So sorry to hear you are dealing with all this sickness. Sending you lots of healing vibes and wishing you a solid recovery! I feel like you about the new year and have not been rushing anything. I’ve been taking it day by day and will get to my vision board and things of that nature when I get to it!

Thank you Susi, I appreciate it. I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I just wish the light would get a bit brighter by now 😂

Taking things day by day is so important, I agree 😊

I literally feel your pain. I've been ill off and on since October. Finally dragged into ER to get "something" to dislodge the lump in my lungs. Good luck, fellow writer. Clear the lungs, the nasal passages, and the brain for a life more energized and cogent in February. Sometimes it's just good to hibernate until the tulips are tapping on your window.

Oh Mackenize, being so unwell is no fun at all! I'm hoping that with more time and rest you'll recover your energy. Yes, take things slowly and sleep when possible is a great healer. I'll look forward to reading you again in Feb, you were very kind to us to even write this considering what's been going on. Take good care of yourself. :)

Absolutely with you and the very slow, gentle landing in January. Also I loved the point about goals being a means to an end and maybe it is about a way of living instead...lots to think about, thank you. Sending you much love and restful healing in these weeks ahead xx

Sending healing prayers your way! There truly is no rush, overall it is a month to take it slow and evaluate, reflect and plan (not so much do, do, do) even though that’s what we still tend to see in our culture! Take it slowly mama, health + healing and family are always priority! Will look forward to when you are back ❤️

Thanks Jennifer! You’re right, it is quite a bit of do, do, do and not a lot of the opposite. I’m just going to ease into it all. Much love to you! 💕
