I have to be honest, this particular anniversary almost passed me by and not because I wasn't looking forward to it or anything. (I was!) But life these past few months since my girls started back at school, has been somewhat of a blur. Honestly, I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is indeed November, so my substack-a-versary almost passed me by.
But it didn't! 😊
I am so grateful for you.
Really and truly, from the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful for all of you who have taken the time not just to read The Lovely Road, but to comment, like, and engage. It means so much to me that you find value in my words and the stories I share. It means the world as a writer.
To all of the people who have recommended The Lovely Road to other people and other readers, thank you. Receiving emails in my inbox saying that someone has recommended my newsletter, fills me with an indescribable joy. The generosity you have shown in taking the time to do that shows such warmth and love in an online world that can feel isolating. Thank you.
I enjoy the conversations that we have on Substack and wish that we could all meet up in person for coffee. It is amazing to have readers from all over the world, not just here in the states. Almost 40% of my readership primarily comes from the UK, which is fascinating! Visiting the UK is one of my bucket list items so l love this particularly worldly stat from Substack 💖
As I've stated before, I write to be an encouragement and hold space for one to feel less alone. I may not have all the answers, but I am always willing to try to help. My hope is for The Lovely Road to be a proverbial port in the storm. Come on over and feel welcomed and listened to.
Sending love to all of you, wherever you may be.
xx Mackenzie

Congratulations Mackenzie! So glad you remembered in time to celebrate. Thank you for your words, your truth, your support and your generosity in sharing the words of others. You would be very welcome in the UK!! Hope to see you here one day xx
Congratulations, fellow writer. How true it is that Substack has provided a platform for creatives to share their work and hear from people about how it affected them. Being a writer especially is a lonely life. No wonder so many of the Greats were alcoholics or died by their own hand. Still, it's wonderful to get to know, in an Internet sort of way, a few of our more ardent fans who take the time to comment and engage. It feeds the heart and soul. And the influence that other Substackers have on me has been inspiring and educational on so many levels. Thank you for your contribution to the body of literature that tells the story of our Time.
