A lovely group of women who I will tag down below, had a beautiful invitation to share some heartfelt feminine words in honor of International Women's Day. Thank you for being here :)

My female role model always and forever, will be my paternal grandmother. She was and will always be, my most transformative female relationship in my life because she saved me without really knowing, that that was exactly what she was doing.
I was a mere slip of girl, bounced like a tennis ball, volleying between divorced parents who didn't like each other much.
But she knew love and showered me with it.
From the beginning, she loved me for me. She gave the best hugs and always made me feel special and appreciated.
I wasn't a mistake. I was held and loved for who I was.
She is no longer here earthside, and I can't quite tell you the how much I miss her presence. I consider her my guardian angel.
I learned so much from her. She taught me how to be feminine, yet classy. She showed me how meals around the dining room table are important and foster communication.
She gave me my love for red roses which still holds till this day. Her garden full of petals and delight, my little hands always reaching out towards them, never remembering the thorns until it was too late.
I learned from her, although I didn't know it at the time, how to be a mother. My little eyes and ears took in how to show patience and forgiveness and how a hug can sometimes make things better. Her adult children loved her so much and I saw the way their faces would light up in her presence. They always made sure she was okay and made sure she wanted for nothing.
I say she will always be the most transformative female relationship in my life because most importantly, she gave me my faith. From a young age, she instilled in me my love of the Lord and gave me a love of wordship music. She never "taught" me per se like in any sort of lessons or such, but by action. She read her bible. She listened to gospel music. She was very active in her local church. I drank in all she had to offer me, and I can't tell you how grateful I am for that because, I have stumbled HARD in this life. I have made bad decisions, I have wrestled with both anxiety and depression, I have fallen more times than I care to remember. I have had so many lows.
But what got me through all of that? My faith.
My faith got me out of those valleys and onto the mountain top again and again and I have my grandmother to thank for that. If I hadn't of learned at a very young age to trust that God is with me always... well, who knows where I'd be. Those valleys were nightmarish.
This beautiful woman left an indelible mark on me. She is who I aspire to be like each day. She gives me the confidence to live my life and to live it to the fullest.
She is in a word: love.
I miss you Grandma and I hope I make you proud ❤

This is such a beautiful honouring of what sounds like a wonderful woman. I love how sometimes the most important gifts are given without really knowing it. Thank you for sharing with us, I’m very lucky to have had two incredibly strong grandmothers and I’ve learned so much from them too. Xx
This was such a touching tribute to a beautiful and brilliant woman. I am so glad you had her in your life and that she showed you so much that has been of utmost importance to you in your life. I was really moved when you said that she loved you for just being you, I think that really is all we need to know as children. I am sure she is very proud of you xx
